HealthKind in 2012
We are excited to announce we will be traveling across the United States to meet with South Sudanese communities during 2012. These meetings will be a way for us to talk about our goals for HealthKind, to ensure our mission and goals are aligned with the needs in South Sudan, and to continue our fundraising efforts. Please check often for a listing of places, dates and times and please contact us if you would like to have us visit your town. Upcoming visits include Phoenix, AZ, Houston, TX, Washington, D.C., and Omaha, NE.

Many, many thanks to those who made a financial contribution to HealthKind in 2011! We are especially grateful to one of our advisors, Ed Kielty, who provided a significant financial boost to us in October. We are also grateful to the South Sudanese communities in Denver, Dallas and Amarillo who have provided financial support for our work. Because of your donations we are now able to cover our overhead business expenses and making our inaugural trip to South Sudan may be possible as early as May, 2012.

A Message from one of our founders:
I am Kuier Atem and I am from south Sudan. I am very interested in helping widowed women, disabled people, and children who were orphaned during the war in south Sudan. I left Sudan because life there was terrible.
God says that when someone is hungry, we should give them food. When someone is thirsty, we give them drink. There are many people in south Sudan who are dying without anyone caring for them. There is no place to find out the truth about why the people are suffering. I was born in this place, and I know the terrible suffering that continues there. MORE. . .
